Helen M. Beilke Breitenfeld

Helen M. Beilke Breitenfeld, 83, formerly of Harvard, passed away Jan. 16, 2012, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

She was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Harvard to William and Mabel (Lembcke) Beilke. She was united in marriage to Robert H. Breitenfeld August 22, 1948.

Helen was a graduate of Harvard High School and attended the University of Illinois. She was employed by National Tea in Harvard for a number of years.

Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was one of the original members of the Altar Guild.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The joy of Helen’s life was her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandson. She enjoyed playing bridge. She and Bob also enjoyed spending their winters in Florida for 30 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Roger) Roskens; granddaughters, Lena (Josh) Muench and Anne Roskens and great-grandson, Landon Muench.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dec. 31, 2010, her parents, and her sister, Marilyn.

The visitation was Jan. 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins St. The funeral service followed at the Church. Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
