Coaches thoughts on...

Strengths: “We’re fortunate that we have a very similar team to last year. We have great kids and they had a great summer. They work hard. We have outstanding senior leadership that will get us over the hump.”

Weaknesses: “A challenge in wrestling is you are always trying to get people in the right weight. We’ll start out the year with three to four weight classes with two varsity guys in each weight and we will have to rotate until we get people in the right weight.”

This season: “Depth is going to be important. I think we have some good young guys we can develop throughout the year…. We will battle Richmond-Burton again for conference.”

Goals for the team: “Our goals are pretty consistent here. We want to win conference and have individual and team placement in state. I don’t think those goals are ever going to change. We don’t talk too much about goals. We are just trying to get ready for the next match.”
